The Band Programme - School holidays

Every school holidays, we run band programmes for students 8 to 17 years.

During term time, our students work so hard developing their skill set and then putting these skills to music, which gives them the feeling of playing in a band, improves timing and makes practicing even more fun!

The ultimate setting for a musician is to experience playing with other musicians, and to be able to bring our students together every school holiday's to do this is one of the highlights of our year.

Playing with other musicians is a whole different skill. For drummers it’s the first time where they are in charge of the speed and feel of the music, instead of relying on a metronome or song to keep them in time. For guitarists, bassists and keyboard players it is the first time they have had to listen to others while playing, and for vocalists its an opportunity to be a band leader and hone their performance skills in front of an audience.

We have seen students meet each other for the first time in the band programme and go on to play music together on a regular basis. It is so inspiring and such a joy to see them come together, create and put on a show for families and friends. They always blow us away with what they achieve is such a short period of time.
